Harry James Jerald, born January 28, 1944, died February 7, 2013 at his home on Wilmington Island. He was on the Clemson football team under coach Frank Howard, served in the United States Navy from 1964-1968, and was in the trucking business for 45 years before his retirement in June, 2012. He is survived by his wife Karen, and his children Scott (Cristy)Jerald, Stacey (Paul) Buff, Trey Kelley, and Clay (Michelle) Kelley, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a step-brother Frank (Dris) Toth of Canfield, Ohio. The visitation with the family will be on Sunday, February 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 U.S. Highway 80 in Pooler, Georgia. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 51 Wilmington Island Road, Savannah, Georgia.
