Harry Byrd Zittrouer
Springfield – Harry Byrd Zittrouer, 84, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Effingham Extended Care Center.
The Effingham County native was retired from the Georgia Department of Public Health as an Environmental Health Superintendent. The U. S. Army veteran was a member of the Springfield United Methodist Church and the Bible Studies Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his nephew Jimmy Zittrouer (Jane), niece Shirley Palmer (Francis), several great nieces and nephews, several great-great nieces and nephews, and numerous special friends.
Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Springfield United Methodist Church followed by funeral services at 4:00 p.m. in the church.
Interment will follow in Springfield Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to the Effingham County United Methodist Campground, 306 West First Street, Springfield, GA 31329
