Hazel I. (Burris) Kocher
Rincon, Georgia- Hazel I. (Burris) Kocher, age 88, of Rochester, Pennsylvania passed in peace at the Effingham Extended Care Facility on May 13, 2016.
Ms. Kocher was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a Christian who loved the Lord and a faithful member of the Rincon United Methodist Church. Her fondness for children led her to provide after school care for youth through the YMCA at Ebenezer Elementary School.
Ms. Kocher is survived by her son Gary (Claudia) Kocher of Rincon, Georgia, her daughter Ruth (Rick Bell) Kocher of Guyton, Georgia, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, her sister Suzanne (Douglass) Burris of New Brighton, Pennsylvania, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Bert Rodney Kocher.
In honor of her wishes a caring cremation will occur and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers remember her with a kind deed or word for someone in need.
