Obituary

Springfield – Hazel Hodges Lee, 82, passed away October 14, 2023 at her residence.

The Screven County native was a member of North Newington Baptist Church and the Clyo Homemakers Club.  She was a retired U.S. Postal Courier and loved working at Brown's Country Kitchen.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, yard work, and a cold creek or mountain stream.  She enjoyed helping Raymon on the farm, especially working in the hay field.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Andrew Hodges and Mae Alease Murray Hodges; husband, Raymon Samuel Lee; daughter-in-law, Winona Jones Woods; sisters, Margie Burns and Doris Rud; and brother, Edward Hodges.

Survivors include her children, John Ernest Woods (Samantha), Karmen Phillips (Mike), and Sheila Neidlinger (Gary); grandchildren, Stephen Lacienski (Meghan), Jason Lacienski, Cody Neidlinger (Samantha), Lane Neidlinger, (Jolie), Samuel Woods (Colleen), Eli Woods (Charlie), James Woods (Shelby), and Rebekah Turgeon (Austin); great-grandchildren, Simon Lacienski, Emmett and Sophia Woods; brother, Andy Hodges; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, October 16, 2023 at North Newington Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
