Pooler, GA-Mrs. Hazel Elvira Strauser Pepper, 90, formerly of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, died Sunday October 28, 2007 at Hospice Savannah.
Born June 4, 1917 in Thayer, Missouri, she lived most of her life in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Before coming to Pooler in 2003, Ms. Pepper was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW 7831 and the Pleasant Valley Home Extension Club in Mammoth Spring.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis L. Diederich, and a son, Donald Pepper and his wife, Fleta, all of Pooler, GA; sisters, Arta Standage and Bonnie (Dannie) Colness, both of Jacksonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Richard E. (Karen) Diederich of Meldrim, GA, Rhonda (Brian) Griffin-Bland of Sumter, SC, and Michelle Carter (Eddie) Stroup of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Kali Griffin, Kasi Griffin, Samuel Diederich, and Grace Diederich; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with memorial services immediately following at 7 p.m. in the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home West Chatham Chapel, Pooler.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring.
