Helen Jean Fletcher Boone, age 73, passed away peacefully at Memorial Health Medical Center on February 17, 2022. She was born in Tulare, California to Freddie and Juanita (Sisson) Fletcher, and spent most of her professional life as a Paralegal.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Johana) Perryman, Ricky (Debbie) Perryman and Michele (Christopher) Perryman Burns; Grandchildren: Alexis Perryman Perkins, Hayden Perryman, Michael Perryman, Lee Arredondo and Mariajosé Noreña Casanova; Great-grandchild: Kennedy Perkins; Brothers: Freddie Fletcher, Johnny (Gail) Fletcher, Dale Towns and Russell Towns; Sister: Beverly Fletcher; Lifetime friends: Susan Welch and Carla Brown, and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2 PM at the Heritage Pavilion within the Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University, 1503 Bland Avenue, Statesboro, GA. All friends and family are invited to "come as you are" to this celebration of Helen's free spirit and outspoken personality.
Helen was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed researching her family's genealogy and Cherokee Indian heritage. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to The Cherokee National History Museum at 101 Muskogee Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464, or take a moment to learn about the Cherokee Indian traditions and culture in her honor.
