Mrs. Helen M. Harris, 76, of Bloomingdale, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hospice Savannah.

She was born in Greenwood, SC to the late Belton Compton and Agnes Ross  She attended South Newington Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  She made over 1000 cakes in her life, including a number of wedding cakes.  She also enjoyed making clothing for her family to wear.  She enjoyed crafting, and was a regular at "Christmas Made in the South".

Survivors include her husband, Charles B. Harris; sons, Jeff Harris (Tina) and Chip Harris (DeJuana); step-daughter, Debbie Pastush; grandchildren, Kevin, Alana, Regan, Charles, Benjamin and Jennifer; great-granddaughter, Austin; siblings, Joe Compton, Alice Ledlow, Amy Carn and Pat Picone, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, August 18 ^th from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
