Obituary
Rincon – Helen Gordy Kirkland, 82, passed away August 8, 2022 at Memorial Health.
The Lyons native was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Rincon Congregation and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Paul Gordy, Sr. and Margaret Evelyn Mosely Gordy; husband, Thomas Edward Kirkland; siblings, Billy G. Gordy, Martha Nell Powell, and Jimmie Faye Tyson.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Edward Kirkland, Sr. and Victor Kirkland; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Paul Gordy, Jr., Ronald Gordy, Robert Gordy, Michael Allen Gordy, Wallace Gordy, and Elisa Ann Alchain; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Rincon Congregation, 903 Fort Howard Road, Rincon, GA 31326.
