Helen Louise Kocis was born on August 7, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA.  As the third of 11 children, Helen grew up in a large family.  She was a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist at Marlow Elementary School in Effingham County.  After retirement, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Chatham County helping children get placed in safe and loving homes.  Helen had a great sense of humor and will be missed by her family and friends.  She passed from this life on April 14, 2020 and has left behind her husband of 47 years, William Kocis, daughter, Lindsay Kocis, and son and daughter-in-law, David and Lesly Kocis.  She will be buried at Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue, PA.  Thomas C.
