Helen Smith Oliver

Rincon – Helen Smith Oliver, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Heritage Inn Health and Rehab.

The Screven County native was a longtime Effingham County resident. She had worked as a cook at Simply Southern. She loved boating, cooking and baking cakes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Oliver.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Oliver, Michelle Maulden, and Mark Oliver; grandchildren, Brett Maulden, Jade Knight, Jamie Oliver, and Amber Oliver; a brother, Donnie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 2-3 pm Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 3 pm Sunday, December 27, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with burial following at Effingham Memorial Gardens. CDC guidelines and social distancing will be observed.
