Mrs. Helen Cheshire Peeples Reddick
Guyton-Mrs. Helen Cheshire Peeples Reddick, 83, went home to be with her Lord and
Savior on Wednesday, April 4, 2007.
She was born on May 1, 1923 in Louisville, KY and was a member of the Blitchton
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond T. Peeples, Sr.
and Roney R. Reddick, a son, Gerald Peeples, her sister, Henrietta Waters Bell, a
great-great-granddaughter, Anslie Kamille Jenkins and a great-great-grandson, Matthew
Vincent Peeples.
She was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church in Savannah. She enjoyed working
with various Church groups including the Prime Timers Senior Group at Jasper Springs
Baptist Church. She served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels delivering to homebound
residents in Chatham County. She worked at Bradley Plywood Mill and was most proud
of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has been a great blessing to
her family and will be dearly missed by many.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (Larry, Sr.) Saxon of Guyton, Raymond T., Jr.
(Martha A.) Peeples of Eden, Peggy Jeffers Farris (Cliff) of Atlanta, Gordon (Maree)
Reddick of Guyton, Veronica (Gene) Hinely of Rincon and Linda (Kevin) Lollis of
Guyton; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and two
great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Hillcrest West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
