Helen Grace Smith Elkins

Guyton- Helen Grace Smith Elkins, 88, died February 23, 2010 at Effingham Extended
Care Facility.

The Effingham County native was a retired school teacher, having taught in Guyton,
Marlow and Clyo. She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church and she was
preceded in death by her husband Trion Alexander Elkins, her son, Trion Alexander
Elkins, Jr., her parents, William Wyburg Smith, Sr. and Helen G. Smith, and her brother,
William Wyburg Smith, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Wyburg Elkins of Garden City; daughter, Ella Mae Elkins
Thomas (Emory) of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Mildred Metzger of Hampton, SC,
Shirley Bevill of Rincon, and Wilena Loper(Richard) of Clyo; and two grandchildren.

Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 24 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Clyo.
