Obituary
Hepzibah-Mr. Henry William Briggs, 74, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Signature Healthcare.
Mr. Briggs was born in Barnwell, SC to the late Henry & Augustine Briggs. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from the Ironworkers Local Union # 709 where he also served as the Assistant Business Agent.
Predeceased by his brothers, Floyd and Loyd Briggs; and sisters, Margaret Davis and Betty Davis.
Survivors include his children, Rodney (Cindy) Briggs, Rhonda (Chris) Cranton, Dana Briggs, Ricky Connor, Timmy Connor, Cathy Connor, and Vicki Connor; grandchildren, Rodney, Jr. (Laura Beth), Lyndi (Andrew), Nikki (Doris), Whitney (Dwayne), Tori (Anthony), Kelsey, Shelbee, Noah, Matt, Kyle, Rachel, Kristen, Amanda, Brandon, Casey and Stephen; great-grandchild, Kaiden, Garrison; fiancé, Bernice Beasley; sisters, Helen (Don) Hughes, Joyce Williams, and Mary Ray; brother-in-law, Calvin Davis, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Friday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home with the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The graveside funeral and burial will be on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Burke Memorial Gardens located at 113 South Liberty Street in Waynesboro, GA.
