Guyton – Henry Michael Edwards, 72, passed away May 1, 2025 at his residence.

The Effingham County native served in the U.S. Navy Seabees and was a very proud and patriotic veteran.  He was a truck driver, enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and tinkering in his shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Truett Edwards and Eliza Lee "Alice" Shuman Edwards; and sister, Brenda Gail Edwards.

Survivors include his sister, Sherry Edwards; brother, Randy Edwards (Cindy); nieces, Mandi Dingeldein (Gerald) and Jana Marks (Gage); nephew, Dave Stanhope (Tiffany); 10 great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
