Rincon – Henry J. "Junie" Pittman, Jr., 79, went to be with our heavenly father on June 7, 2022.

Born on April 24, 1943 in Exley, GA he served 2 years in the U.S. Army in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart.  He retired from the GA Department of Defense Police Department with the 165 ^th AW GA ANG.  After retirement he worked at Budget Rent-A-Car for 24 years.  He was a lifelong member of North Salem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ida Mae Pittman.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Janie E. Pittman; sons, Dennie Pittman (Joy) and Jeffrey Pittman (Jessica); grandchildren, Allison Canady, Tiffany Pittman, Annsleigh Pittman, Alexis Pittman, and Alex Pittman; siblings, Marie Shuman (Jack), David Pittman (Danalyn), Judy Miller (Mark), Wayne Pittman (Monika), and Patsy McBride (Randy); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at North Salem Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 2p.m.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
