Bloomingdale – Mr. Henry "Bo" Ray, Jr., 70, passed away at his home on Monday, December 16, 2013.
Bo was born in Wheeler County to Henry & Katie Walker Ray. He was baptized at Little Rock Baptist Church and professed his faith in Jesus until his last day. Bo never met a stranger and was tremendously well-liked and respected by anyone who knew him. He was the owner-operator of Ray's Clearing & Grading and enjoyed working hard more than anything except spending time with his family and friends. It is well known that Bo would give anyone the shirt off his back and help anyone who needed it. He was a very generous and sacrificial man who will be incredibly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Jean (Fort) Ray; children James Ray and his wife (Wanda), and Jeannen Ray Fields and her husband (Jeff); eight grandchildren, Courteney Ray Rainey (Ryan), Missy Ray Davis (Stephen), Crissy Ray, Jaime Ray, 'Little' James, Jeffery Fields (Sarah), Taylor Rae Fields, and Aaron Fields; one great-grandchild; brothers Billy Ray and Melvin Ray; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Pooler.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
