Bloomingdale-Mr. Herman Jones, 90, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Hospice Savannah.
Mr. Herman was born in Bulloch County to the late James & Viola Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jones. He retired from Union Camp and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved playing softball and fishing.
Survivors include his children, Ronald Jones, Terry & Janet Jones, Jennifer & Randy Myers; grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Michele, Miranda, Cindy and Jason; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mattie Coleman; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that remembrances be given to Alpha United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5 East U.S. Hwy. 80, Bloomingdale, GA 31302.
