Heyward E. "Andy"/"Ebb" Anderson Jr.
Rincon – Heyward E. "Andy"/"Ebb" Anderson, Jr., 74, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at home under the care of Islands Hospice.
He was the son of the late Heyward and Henrietta Anderson, retired from the automotive industry and served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife Patricia B. Anderson of 52 years; two sons, Edmond Anderson, Tim Anderson; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Jeff Gunn; daughters-in-law, Suzanne Anderson and Connie Bell; 7 grandchildren, Paige and Brian Anderson, Brittany Gunn, Logan Gunn, Lex Gunn, Brad Anderson, and Tiffany Vogel; an extended family, Dan and Nguyet Nguyen, Theresa and Norm Witt, Mark and Cristin Nguyen; great-grandchildren, McKayla, Jamison and Kinsley Witt, and Miley Nguyen; brother, Nicholas B. Anderson and wife, Camille; sisters, Brenda Sutton, Jill Lanier and husband, Rusty; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Strickland; sister-in-law, Sarah P. Mixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Countryside Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson will lie in state from 10 a.m.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Glennville.
