Mr. Howard J. Davis

Green Cove Springs, FL-Mr. Howard J. Davis, 86, died on Monday, October 1, 2007 at
his home.

The Wheeler County native had lived in Guyton for 28 years and had moved to Green
Cove Springs in 2001. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Green Cove
Springs and graduated from the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon. He retired
from the Georgia Rehabilitation for the Blind and enjoyed playing music. He played
piano in a band for many years along with Brenda Lee.

Survivors include his wife, Fay Cochran Davis; children, Carol & Bill Madison, Larry
Cochran, Judy & Wayne Knowles, Randy & Brenda Cochran, Pam & Phillip Kelly,
David & Lisa Cochran and Christy & Eric Miller; seventen grandchildren and nineteen
great-grandchildren; sister, Florene Wilcher; brother-in-law, Ed Abernathy; sister-in-law,
Shannon Davis and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at
Screven Memorial Park.
