Springfield – Hugh Daniel Guyton, 66, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at his residence.
The Alabama native served in the U.S. Army and was a paint and hardware specialist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Banks Guyton and Mary Wadeema Strawbridge Guyton; and sister, Paula Guyton.
Survivors include his wife, Christa B. Guyton of Springfield; children, Chris Adams of Reidsville, Patricia Gibson of Claxton, Sharon Hamby of Rincon, Danny Guyton, and Ashley Barton both of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brothers, Ed, Billy, Ricky, Ronnie, Johnnie, Marchell, and Jack; sisters, Mary Ann and Kathy; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
