Meldrim-Mrs. Iris Gertrelle Nease Campbell, 79, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Marlow to the late Cohen Joshua Nease & Addie Mae Patrick Nease. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Campbell, Sr.; son, Harold L. Campbell, Jr., and two brothers, Wilbur Nease and Adrian Lenorian Nease. She was a member of the Meldrim United Methodist Church and had previously been employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield from 1957 until 1973, and Candler General Hospital from 1973 until her retirement in 1993.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Campbell DeLoach; grandsons, Wade Garrett Durrence and Jacob Alexander DeLoach; sister-in-law, Sarah Evans Nease and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral and burial will be on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery located at 121 Noel C. Conaway Road in Effingham County.
