Irma Pevey Mosley
Guyton – Irma Pevey Mosley, 87, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Effingham County native was a member of Guyton Christian Church where she taught Sunday School over 40 years and was past chairman of the Board. She was a Medical Assistant for over 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Leslie Pevey and Lottie Kessler Pevey; and husband, George M. Mosley, Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Connie Mosely Turner and Michael T. Turner of Delray Beach, FL; sisters, Jelane (John) Battle of Guyton and Quinell (John) Sullivan of Tampa, FL; brother, Ernest Lureed Pevey of Guyton; nieces and nephews, Denise Pevey, Karen Sullivan, Michael (Angie) Pevey, Les (Teresa) Pevey, Audra Jennings, Bruce Mosley, Coy (Delores) Mosley, Sandy (Tommy) Odum, Dennis Mosley; sisters-in-law, Rachel Pevey and Betty (Fred) Zipperer all of Guyton.
The family gives a special thanks to the Eula Powers Circle at Guyton Christian Church, Home Instead, her devoted aide, Susie Miller, and Nora and Stephanie of Home Instead.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Guyton Christian Church.
Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.
