Irwin Isadore Malphrus

March 13, 1948           -        January 27, 2024

Springfield – Irwin Isadore Malphrus, 75, passed away unexpectedly at home, Saturday, January 27, 2024.  He was born March 13, 1948 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Mr. & Mrs. Hoover Malphrus.

Mr. Malphrus served our country in the United States Navy on board the USS New Jersey in Vietnam.  He was actively involved in all aspects of the Timber business for 25 years.  He was an avid golfer and a member of several country clubs.  Mr. Malphrus was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Springfield, GA.

Mr. Malphrus was preceded in death by both his parents, Hoover and Myrtle Malphrus and his brother, Bernard Malphrus.

Mr. Malphrus is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat) Brown Malphrus of 52 years, one son, Tracy (Tina) Malphrus of Catawba, NC and one daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Jordan of Guyton, GA; grandchildren, Ariel (Tanner) Bailey, Wyatt Malphrus, Brody Jordan, Brynley Jordan and Bryce Jordan.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 4 p.m.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Remembrances may be given to Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund.
