Mr. Isaac G. "Ike" LaRoche, 80, of Pooler, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Candler Hospital.

Ike was born in Darien, GA to the late Lawrence "Junior" Edison LaRoche, Sr. and Ethel Ward LaRoche.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph A. McIntosh, and siblings, Mary L. Clark, James A. LaRoche, Lawrence E. LaRoche, Jr, Douglas W. LaRoche, and Joseph Samuel "Sammy" LaRoche.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and was the owner/operator of Ike LaRoche & Associates, Inc.  He was a member of the Richard T. Turner Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Master in 1974, Alee Temple Shriners – Jesters, Directors Staff and Scottish Rite.  He served on the boards of the Kicklighter Foundation, Rape Crisis Center, YMCA, and was a member of the West Chatham Rotary Club.  He was instrumental in getting the Pooler Gym built.  He was instrumental in the founding of the West Chatham YMCA, Darien YMCA, Hinesville YMCA, Liberty County YMCA, and the Beaufort YMCA.  He was also a recipient of the Robert H. Demere Volunteer Award through the YMCA.  This award is representative of the highest volunteer award given by the YMCA.  Since 2004 this award has only been presented three times.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elaine G. "Cissy" LaRoche; children, Isaac G. LaRoche, Jr., Matthew L. LaRoche, Sr., and Leslie LaRoche; grandchildren, Nicholas G. LaRoche, Matthew L. LaRoche, Jr., and Marlee LaRoche; siblings, William C. "Billy" LaRoche, Vivirie LaRoche, and Josephine Howard, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Life Spring Worship Center located at 1105 U.S. Hwy 80 in Bloomingdale.  Ike will lie in state from 2 until 3 p.m. at the church.  Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery with military honors and masonic rites.
