Isabelle Kessler Shearouse "Sissy"

Springfield – Isabelle Kessler Shearouse “Sissy”, 97, passed away September 25, 2026 at Lakeview Manor.

The Effingham County native was a longtime resident of Savannah and lifelong member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. She retired from Solomon’s Wholesale Drug Company after 41 years of service. She moved to Springfield 5 years ago and was a resident of Lakeview Manor, she was an avid Bingo and Bunco player, loved the beach, enjoyed shopping, and watching the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zannie Lee Kessler and Addie Exley Kessler; husband, G.B. Shearouse; brothers, Bowman A. Kessler; Derrel C. Kessler, and Charles E. Kessler.

Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Joan Kessler and Nell Kessler; nieces and nephews, Sherry Rahn, Charlie Kessler (Patti), Lee Kessler (Tania), and Lisa Noegel (Mark); godson, Logan Noegel; several great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Al Schunemann.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2026 at Jerusalem Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to SunCare Hospice or Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
