Mrs. Iva Lou Edwards

Mrs. Iva Lou Edwards, 78, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on September 4, 2023 at home with Hospice after a long illness.
The Mt. Airy, North Carolina native was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife. She was a member of South Newington Baptist Church. She loved music, dancing and writing, but most of all her love of serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn W. and Nancy Harding of Martinsville, Virginia, her brother, Foy Fulcher, sisters, Mildred Seacrest, Thelma Reese and Bertha Reese, and great-grandchild, Kylee Busbie.
Survivors include her husband, Charles M. "Chuck" Edwards, Sr.; children, Nancy Hardee (Joseph), Tammy Busbie (Jeff), and Charles M. "Chuck" Edwards, Jr.; grandchildren, Amanda Hardee, Alex Hardee (fiancé-Megan), Chrissy Roberts (Greg), Christopher Busbie (Jennafer), Trey Busbie (Austin), Candace Busbie (Steve), Jessica Busbie (Jacob), Justine Fedak (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Alicia (Hunter), A.J., Austin, Faith, Aira, Shyanne, Remi, William, Brooks, Ryan, Isabella, Tripp, Able and Silas, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Lou's life will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The graveside funeral and burial will be on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 8819 U.S. Hwy. 301 in Glennville, Georgia. The procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for those wishing to follow.
