Pooler-Mrs. Jackie Morgan Tuten, 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Jackie was born in Riceboro, GA, and had lived in Pooler since 1961. She was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of Rothwell Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School and the Seniors Group. Her church family was very important to her and she enjoyed helping others. She was instrumental in bringing Meals on Wheels to the West Chatham area, and was a coordinator for the Senior Citizens of Pooler. She was employed with Union Camp for a number of years, and retired from Gulfstream. She was preceded in death by husbands, Lavon Morgan and William W. Tuten; son, Randy Morgan, and grandson, Brian Cramer.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice & Rod Cramer of Richmond Hill; daughter and daughter-in-law, Angie Morgan & Shari Lupori of Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Kim Iler-Morgan of Bloomingdale; daughter-in-law, Geralyn Guest of Savannah; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and many other friends and family.
The family would like to thank Georgia Mae Wilson and Linda Royal for their dedicated care to Jackie.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Saturday at Rothwell Baptist Church located at 216 Rothwell Street in Pooler. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
