Pooler-Jacob Richard Bashlor, Sr., 28, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 15, 2013.
Jacob was born in Savannah and graduated from the Paul Anderson Youth Home. Jacob was a loving father and his greatest joy in life was spending time with his son, Little Jacob, whether it was teaching him how to fish, playing football or playing video games. Jacob was also a wonderful brother to James. They enjoyed fishing, attending car shows, and working together. Jacob was preceded in death by grandmothers, "MeMa" Nell Bashlor and "Grandma" Betty Mosher.
Survivors include his son, Jacob Richard Bashlor, Jr., AKA "Little Jacob"; his parents, Walter & Pam Bashlor; brother and sister-in-law, James & Ashley Bashlor; his two nieces and nephew, Victoria, Mackenzie and Dylan Bashlor adored their Uncle Jacob; grandfather, James R. Bashlor, Sr.; grandparents, Dewey & Ann Mosher; uncles, Dewey, Craig and Richard Mosher; aunt, Deborah Haynie; special aunt and uncle, Ellen & Danny Yeomans and several cousins.
The visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Phillips officiating. Pallbearers were Dewey Mosher, Craig Mosher, Richard Mosher, Daniel Yeomans and Manny Villa. Burial followed at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
