Mr. Jake Mullins, 86, of Richmond Hill, GA passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at his home.

Jake was born in Savannah, GA to the late John Wesley Mullins, Sr. and Mary Symons.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Betsy DeFilippis and Tommy Mullins.  He graduated from Benedictine in 1955 and was a Golden Glove boxing champ in 1954 and 1955.  He retired from Dial Corporation and General Mills Company.  He was a member of St. Elizabeth Episcopal Church and was a high school football official for 30 years.  He enjoyed playing golf and will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jackie Mullins; daughter, Robin Mullins; son, John "Wesley" Mullins, III (Glenda); grandchildren, Tony Sapp Patty Martinez), Jennifer Leigh Purnell (Justin) and John Michael "Jake" Mullins; great-grandchildren, Boston James Purnell, Hudson Jake Purnell, and Hunter Purnell as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Jake's life will be on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
