Springfield – James Andrew "Andy" Hodges, Jr. 72, passed away February 8, 2024 at Ogeechee Area Hospice.

The Screven County native formerly worked in hvac maintenance, he loved gardening and tending to his chickens and guineas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Andrew Hodges and Mae Alease Murray Hodges; his wife, Donna Hodges; his siblings, Edward Hodges, Margie Burns, Doris Rud, and Hazel Lee.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Beverly Ballance (Foy), Pudge Rud (Gail), Dawn Lambert, Karmen Phillips (Mike), Ernie Woods (Samantha), Sheila Neidlinger (Gary), and Greg Burns (Tammi); numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Davita Nursing Staff and Dr. Nancy Thompson for the care given to Andy.
