Guyton – James C. "Jimmy" Carey, 62, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home.

The Savannah native had lived his childhood on Hilton Head Island, where he loved cutting the church's grass because they had a riding mower. He worked for the McGraley Company for several years. Jimmy loved to travel, be around water, and racing.  He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick H. Carey, Sr.; mother, Jean Herbert Carey; and brother, Patrick H. Carey, Jr.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Fordham; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and his second family at the McGraley Company.

Memorial services will be held 6:30 pm Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Please come comfortably dressed in jeans and a shirt.
