James Chalmers Crawford, age 84, passed away peacefully at home August 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kirtland, Ohio to James and Catherine Crawford, living his early life on Barber Avenue in Willoughby, Ohio. In 1980 he settled in Georgia, and called Springfield his home for the past 40 years.

He was married to Monteen Mock-Crawford and endures as the loving father of Patrick (Veronica) Crawford, Kelly (Jeff) Rosenblatt, Karen (Kurt) Treu, Jim Crawford, and Stepfather to Brian (Kim) Burns.

Jim was the beloved "Poppy" to Michael (Allison) Crawford, Matthew Crawford, Emily Crawford, Ryan (Marley) Rosenblatt, Hannah Rosenblatt, Helene Treu (Garrett Foster), Neil Treu, Daniel Crawford, Lindsey Crawford, Christopher Wendelken, Brooke Burns and Jack Burns.

Loving brother to Constance J. Crawford (Doug Hynds). Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews and a lifelong friend to many; Jim will be missed dearly.

Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Monteen, his parents, James and Catherine, his infant daughter Kathleen, his siblings Anne Dung and Carolyn Skaza, step-daughter, Jennie Wendelken, and daughter-in-law Veronica Crawford.

Burial service will be 2:30 p.m. graveside at the Springfield Cemetery Annex Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
