Mr. James Elton "Goody" Boatright, 77, passed away on March 18, 2022.

He was born in Bacon County, GA on August 18, 1944 to the late Elton "Pete" and Perle Boatright.  He served his country during the Vietnam War 1969 – 1970.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Foster Boatright, a son, Seth Anthony Boatright, a brother, Richard Allen Boatright, and a second mama, Essie L. Boatright.

Survivors include three children, James "Jimmy" Vance (Gina) of Jackson, GA, Heather Boatright and Holly Anderson (Chad) of Savannah, GA; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Boatright (Beverly) of Guyton, GA, Jimmy Boatright (Henrietta) of Brunswick, GA, and Porky Boatright of Mershon, GA; sisters, Debbie Vause (Bubba) of Richmond Hill, GA, June McGowan of Pooler, GA, Cookie Boatright (Roy) of Alma, GA, Ginger Boatright, and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Goody's life will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
