Mr. James Allen Hill, Sr., 84, of Midway, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home.

He was born on November 11, 1936 in Ellijay, Georgia to the late Fred James Hill and Bessie Harper Hill.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Kay Douglas, who passed away on January 29, 2018.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired after 37 years from Union Camp.  He was a 50-year Mason and was in the Clinton lodge where he was a past master, and in the Richmond Hill lodge.  He was a member and deacon of Friendship Baptist Church in Midway, Georgia.  He will be deeply missed by his family, but they have the assurance of Jim being a born-again Christian and that he is in Heaven today with his Heavenly Father.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Edna Faye Hill; daughter, Brenda Kay Douglas, who passed away on January 29, 2018; son and daughter-in-law, James Allen Hill, Jr. and Kathy Hill; grandson and his wife, Thomas Edward Douglas, Jr. and Tiffany Douglas; niece, Lynette Wright; nephew, Mike Hill.

The family will have a private funeral and burial.
