James "Little James" Turnbow, age 30, of Port Wentworth, passed away February 10, 2017. A native of Savannah, Little James has been a commercial fisherman with Woods Seafood for over 15 years. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann "Patty" Lyons, of Bloomingdale; father, Tim (wife, Sonya) Turnbow, of Rincon; step-father, Brad Lyons; grandparents, Joan "Granny Corvette" and Lawrence Carter, of Bloomingdale, and Eloise and James Woods, of Port Wentworth; brothers, Brandon Turnbow, Preston Turnbow, both of Bloomingdale, step-sisters, Holly Walls, of Rincon, Christina Yates, of Guyton, Laurin Birchfield, of Rincon; step-brothers, Richard Walls, of Stilson, Cory Steedly, of Ridgeland, SC; Uncle George Turnbow, of Port Wentworth; Aunt Tina and Spike Newman, of Springfield, Aunt Sissy Kersey, of Ellabell, Aunt Connie Redman, of Bloomingdale, Aunt Lacy and Lonnie Krenn, of Alvarado, TX; cousin Lilly Hein among many more cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 16, 11:00 AM at Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel. Dr. Julie Stanley-Mack officiating.
