Mr. James Martin "Jim" Hester, 70, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home.

Jim was born in Guyton, Georgia to the late James Urier Hester and Nila Juanita Griner Hester.  He was also preceded in death by his son, James Russell Hester.  Jim was a graduate of Groves High School, served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a mason with the Richard T. Turner Masonic Lodge.  He retired from the United States Postal Service and was the owner/operator of Straightline Striping.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, JoAnn Hester; two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephanie and Ron Ledford, and Tammy Jeanette Hester; two grandchildren, Jordan Alexandra Hester, Larry Eugene and Carmi Akins; great-grandchildren, Laralynn, Collin, Flynn, and Zelda; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Clifton and Joy Hester, William and Elaine Hester, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
