Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Lawrence, 79, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Hospice Savannah.

Jimmy was born in Columbus, Georgia and had spent many years in Cusseta, Georgia before moving to Pooler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Lawrence and Doris Hayes Lawrence.  He served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Civil Service. Jimmy enjoyed a good time, joking around with others, dancing and singing Karaoke.  He will be remembered for being compassionate, always enjoying being around people, and for loving his family.  He will be missed.

Survivors include the mother of his children and friend, Linda Lawrence; daughters, Cherish Lawrence and Chaston Vogel (Bryan); grandchildren, Skylar Adams, Kara Bradley (Joshuwa), and Sara Vogel.

The visitation will be on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Jimmy's life will be on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the graveside funeral and burial to follow at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 8819 U.S. Highway 301 in Glennville, Georgia
