Mr. James Walter "Jimmy" Thompson, 68, of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home.

Jimmy was born in Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan to the late CMSGT John B. Thompson (USAF ret) and Mary Brown Thompson of Savannah, GA.  He retired in 2017 from Great Dane Trailers and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to music.

Survivors include his son, James Walter "Jamie" Thompson, Jr. (Shondee); grandchildren, Matthew Thompson, Makenzie Thompson, Megan VanHoutan, and Bryce Mallard; siblings, John B. Thompson, III (Linda), Donald Edmond "Eddie" Thompson (Eva), and Cathy Spivey (Mike), as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 17 ^th at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home – WEST CHATHAM CHAPEL – 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler (912) 748-2444.
