Obituary
Savannah-Mr. James Norton Thompson, Jr. "Jimmy", passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Hospice Savannah.
Jimmy was born in Savannah to the late James Norton Thompson and Jewell Horne Thompson. He was the owner/operator of Thompson Hauling, Inc. and was a hard worker. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, NASCAR and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Thompson; children, Benjamin A. Thompson, Jacob E. Thompson, Caroline Sexton and her husband, Brad; grandchildren, Evan and Jackson Sexton; sister, Judy Helton and her husband, Hugh; several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Leo.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 in the chapel of the funeral home with the burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
