James Earvin Miller, 89, entered into eternal rest January 19, 2021 following a short illness from COVID-19 and passed away peacefully at Hospice Savannah.

He was raised in Toombs County, GA and retired from Union Camp as a Machine Tender. A lifelong member of the Church of God, he was active in building churches and raising money for numerous missions. He enjoyed old time cowboys, westerns, horses, gardening, and traveling in his RV.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Oveta Mason Miller; daughter Dr. Belinda Winters (Dr. Mark Winters); son, LCDR Donald Miller, USCG retired, (Donna Miller); two grandsons, Ryan (Whitney) and Steven Miller; and two foster daughters, Marjorie Beasley (Greg) and Jeannette Dini (Louis).

A private family memorial will be held at the funeral home. All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
