James "Jay" O'Neal, Jr.
Springfield – James "Jay" O'Neal, Jr., 68, passed away February 21, 2018 at his residence.
The Screven County native was a mechanic and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, James O'Neal, Sr. and Lena O'Neal.
Survivors include his son, James Joseph "Joey" Kemp; siblings, Henry O'Neal, Sr. (Wanda), Linda Oglesby (James), Joanna Beard (Keith Anderson), Brenda Graham (Bubba Stafford); numerous nieces and nephews; his two dogs whom he loved, Brownie and Mule.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
