Pooler-James W. "Pee Wee" Dorsey, 33, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
"Pee Wee" was born in Savannah and was the owner/operator of Georgia Intermodal Tire. He attended Mustard Seed Faith Church and enjoyed fishing, skiing, boating and NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Tiffany E. Dorsey; children, Tyres R. Dorsey, James W. Dorsey, Jr., Morgan N. Dorsey, Mary E. Dorsey and Jessica L. Dorsey; mother, Sarah L. Mixon; father, Billy Dorsey, Sr.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mitchell & Tracy Dorsey and Billy Dorsey, Jr.; step-sisters, Rachel Strickland, Lisa Bennett and Susie Bennett; grandfather, Elvin Mitchell and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral to honor James' life was at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Mr. Brian Friday and Mr. Dennis Maddox officiating. Trey Dorsey offered a eulogy and the pallbearers were Chris Burns, Gary Davis, Gary Dorsey, Jordan Dorsey, Trey Dorsey, Matt Dorsey, Ashton Dorsey and Kason Dorsey. Burial followed at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be sent to Queensborough National Bank & Trust, in the name of Tiffany E. Dorsey, 216 U.S. Highway 80 West, Garden City, GA.
