James Seth Ridley

Rincon – James Ridley, 78, peacefully passed from this world on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.  He was surrounded by the people he loved and that loved him.

James was born in Dalton, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Ruth Ridley, and a very special brother-in-law, Roy New.

James retired from Gulfstream after 35 years of service, he was a hard worker and always did his best to support his family.

Left to cherish his memory is a loving wife of 55 years, Dale Ridley, and his children.  Caretaker and excellent cook to the end, Angela Clark, comforter and his favorite Fox news listener, Jessica Burnsed (Brandon) and his favorite son, James Seth Ridley, II.

He was lovingly called "Papa" to the grandchildren he loved so well.  Dakota Clark, Alex Clark, Blaine Burnsed, Abby Ridley, and a very special great-granddaughter, McKenzie Ward.

Also left to cherish his memory is a loving, faithful to the end sister, Linda New and a very special brother, Jerry Ridley (Mary Faye) also a one of a kind brother-in-law who prayed for him faithfully to the end, Marty Massey (Dianne) and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

James wished to be cremated.
