Savannah-Mr. James D. "Skipper" Wilkins, 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Wilkins was born in Savannah and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Wilkins. He was previously employed with Raymond Daiss Paint & Body Shop.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Wilkins; son, James Wilkins; mother, Josephine Wilkins; brothers, Larry, Stephen, Richard and Mark Wilkins; sisters, Diane Stills, Mary Jo Chapman and Sharon Wilkins and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 12 noon on Friday at Bethel Baptist Church located at 1295 Little Neck Road with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
