Bloomingdale-Mr. James W. Stephens, 80, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Mr. Stephens was born in Johnson County to the late Blakey & Maude Stephens. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and retired from the City of Savannah. He loved his family, fishing, and dancing.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris S. Stephens; daughter and son-in-law, Denise S. & Maynard Griggs; granddaughter and her husband, Reagan Griggs-Pritchett & Kevin; sister, Geneva S. Hall; half-sister, Evelyn; several nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Lorraine & Willard Phillips.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
