Springfield – Mr. James Marion Sullivan, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Savannah to the late Philo & Maude Sullivan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Sullivan, and two sisters, Myrtle Salinski and Arlene Ward. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield and retired from Continental Can. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Marine Rescue Squadron.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Margie Sullivan; brothers, Robert and Henry Sullivan; sister-in-law, Janie Ruth Belcher, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Springfield with burial to follow at the Springfield Annex.
