Mr. James Earl Thomas
Pooler- Mr. James Earl Thomas, 75, died on Friday, May 25, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Thomas was born in Israel Township, Ohio to the late Clitis & Esther Thomas. He lived in Pooler for a number of years and attended Rothwell Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of the Silver Star, Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He retired from Kaiser as a regional manager and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Linda Overstreet Thomas of Pooler; children, Marcia Kaye (Jimmy) Dark and Michael Keith (Christan) Thomas, all of Charleston, SC and Michael Nease of Pooler; six grandchildren; sisters, Maribeth Tucker of Phoenix, AZ and Joy (Bob) Wickett and Linda (Clyde) Pack, all of Naples, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral: Will be Wednesday, May 30 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
