James Thomas "Tommy" Griffin, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, surrounded by loving family, of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

He was born on September 8, 1945 in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Barney and Evelyn Griffin.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Tony Griffin; brother-in-law, Victor Adams, and father-in-law, Jack Zettler.  He was a member of Compassion Christian Church for 34 years.  He graduated from Savannah High School in 1963.  He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam from 1963 – 1968.  He was on the ammunition ship USS Vesuvious.  He worked for Sears Roebuck as a repair specialist for 35 years.  After retiring from Sears, he worked at Home Depot and Compassion Christian Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; son, Jamie (Anna) Griffin; daughter, Lisa Griffin; grandchildren, Brian (Jordan) Griffin, Erika Griffin, and Lennon Griffin; his mother-in-law, Alma Zettler; sisters, Christie Adams and Diane (Will) White; sister-in-law, Susan (David) Elliott; brother-in-law, Ricky (Heidi) Zettler, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Tommy's life will be on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Compassion Christian Church – AMC Building – 55 Al Henderson Bvld, Savannah, Georgia.
