Rincon – James Edward Turner, 79, passed away May 25, 2022 at his residence.

The Kentucky native served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Gulfstream.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy Turner and Alma Jean Adleins Turner; and his great-granddaughter, Rigby Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Turner; daughter, Susanne Edwards (Marty); son, Kenneth Lee Turner (Christine); grandchildren, Marshall Edwards (Kristen), Jesse Edwards (Meagan), Kimberly Simpson (John), Stephen Turner, and Erin Phillips (Robbie); great-grandchildren, Hudson Edwards, Landry Rynn Edwards, Everett Edwards, Elliott Edwards, Scarlett Simpson, Oliver Simpson, and Austin Phillips; sisters, Linda Young and Deborah Holbrook (Mike); and several nieces and nephews.

No memorial services will be held; a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
