Rincon-Ms. Jane B. Alford, 73, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Memorial
Health University Medical Center.

Ms. Jane was born in Baxley to the late Edgar K. Beecher, Sr. & Mattie C. Beecher. She
was employed with the City of Port Wentworth Police Department for 23 years as well as
Coastal Correctional Institute for 11 years. She loved spending time with her family,
traveling and fishing.

Survivors include her children, Tammy (Rick) Hall of Richmond Hill, James (Mary)
Alford, Jr. of Atlanta and Troy (Becky) Alford of Rincon; grandchildren, Lyndsey Alford,
Garrett (Chrissy) Alford, Kristen Hall, Jessica Hall, Judson Alford, Blake Alford, Lauren
Hall, Caroline Alford, Spencer Alford, Jacob Alford and Luke Alford; great-grandson,
Jace Alford; brother, Edgar K. Beecher, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Beecher and Rose Kopta and
several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Garden City United Methodist Church, 62
Varnadoe Avenue, with lunch hour visitation immediately following the memorial service
in the church social hall.

The Alford family would like to thank the Rincon Police Department, Effingham County
E.M.S., Rincon Fire Department and Memorial Health LifeStarOne Air Ambulance
Service for the dignified and professional service rendered to our mom.
